About

Quality Childcare – An Essential Investment

Founded in 1997, Lollipops Educare is wholly New Zealand owned and managed. With over thirty childcare centres now operating throughout the country, Lollipops Educare offers state-of-the-art facilities, hand-picked staff and excellent staff to child ratios.

A recent report by the Ministry of Education and the New Zealand Council for Educational Research found that children benefit from quality early childhood education. The Competent Children, Competent Learners Project report showed that as teenagers, children who had attended a quality early childhood education centre had higher scores on average for literacy, numeracy, logical problem-solving, and social skills. At Lollipops Educare, you can trust that your child is receiving quality childcare. It’s a standard that each of our childcare centres takes very seriously and one that we continually strive to advance upon.

Quality Staff

Each Lollipops Educare centre is owner-managed ensuring an accessible, open relationship between management and parents or caregivers. Each staff member is carefully selected to ensure the best possible person is chosen for every available position. Staff are supported with ongoing professional development courses and in-house training, this means your child has access to the most advanced teaching techniques and learning opportunities. And because we maintain excellent staff-child ratios, you know that your child is always receiving the very best care, attention and comfort.

Quality Learning Opportunities

Programme planning at Lollipops Educare is based on the four learning principles of the New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum – Te Whaariki. These are: Empowerment, Holistic Development, Family and Community and Relationships. These four principles are designed to help your child become a confident learner with strong relationship skills – in other words your child soaks up great skills all while having great fun!
