ALBANYCentre ProfilePurpose built in 2008, Albany’s Lollipops Educare, located at 406 Rosedale Road, is dedicated to providing the very best in quality care and education for your child. Four separate areas have been designed to cater to the needs of children at varying ages; each is full of fun, empowering activities that inspire learning and confidence. Excellent staff ratios and primary care-givers for under-twos mean that your child receives focused, consistent care by professional, experienced educators who love what they do.
Four age-specific areas:
Babies and toddlers under the age of two each have a primary care-giver who will develop a special awareness about your child’s individual strengths and development. This also helps your baby or toddler develop a secure attachment within the centre. At Lollipops Albany, our staff are trained in Makaton Baby Sign, this is a sign language used in conjunction with verbal language and can help children to communicate their needs to family and friends. Our centre planning board has been developed to help identify and encourage children’s interests. The board documents and displays the various interests that are currently being explored and helps teachers to plan, evaluate, and review activities for the children. The activities and resources available for learning at Lollipops Albany are designed to help your child learn new skills and feel confident. But most of all, they are designed to be fun! From messy play to loud music, dancing to blocks, children have an ever-changing array of wonderful activities that they simply love to engage in. Our family corner is always abuzz with imaginative play and role-play games, the quiet book area is a wonderful retreat for children who enjoy books and puzzles. And of course, our staff love the activities too – so children are always being encouraged and assisted in whatever they do. HoursThe centre operates between 7.30am and 6pm each week day. We are closed only on public and statutory holidays.Getting to know each otherWe have an open door policy and encourage parents/caregivers to spend time at the centre getting to know our educators and the routines that we incorporate into our programme. We believe it is important to understand and support your values and beliefs within a nurturing learning environment. For any new enquires it is advisable to make an appointment so that time can be spent with you showing you around our centre.
Outdoor PlayChildren love our fun outdoor area which is full of exciting activities to encourage learning, empowerment, and social play. Tredsafe equipment, a sandpit, water play, outdoor blocks, and a construction zone offer a great variety of activities to choose from. The outdoor area is also a great place for children to enjoy art activities and reading.Nutritious MealsOur on-site cook provides children with delicious morning and afternoon teas and lunches that are nutritionally balanced and varied. We are happy to cater for individual needs and those with allergy concerns.StaffAlbany’s Lollipops Educare centre is committed to employing the best possible educators for your children.
