Staff ProfilesJulie Salthouse – Centre Director, Auckland CentralWith extensive experience in administration and management, Centre Director Julie Salthouse has a strong skill set in strategic planning and financial and operations management. Julie holds a Bachelor of Business majoring in Management and has a flair for marketing and communications, people management and customer relationships. Her experience in the commercial sector is perfectly balanced with experience as a mother and grandmother to provide Lollipops Educare Central Auckland with a wealth of valuable skills and knowledge. Julie’s can-do attitude and supportive, approachable management style has already become a valuable asset to this vibrant centre. Julie also has many years experience in the marine industry and loves to spend her spare time yachting, fishing and being on the water enjoying New Zealand’s fabulous waters. “I feel very fortunate to have joined the team at Lollipops Educare Auckland Central. It’s great to be part of a team that is so committed to providing the best childcare facilities possible with supportive and caring staff. Leigh May, Centre Supervisor, Auckland Central Helping to provide a fun, friendly environment where children can reach their potential and discover a world of amazing new skills is something that Leigh May is very passionate about. As the Centre Supervisor of Lollipops Auckland Central centre, Leigh ensures that each and every child is receiving the very best standard of care and education within a nurturing environment. Leigh joined the team at Lollipops in 2008 and has a background in teaching in both New Zealand and the UK, she is also an experienced nanny and spent several years working in the UK within this role. Leigh has a Diploma of Teaching (ECE) and is a registered teacher. Her many years of working alongside children and their families has provided her with a wealth of experience that has become a wonderful asset for the staff, children, and parents within the Auckland Central centre.“It’s a real privilege to watch as the children within our centre reach their individual milestones and discover the incredible world around them.
