Centre Profile

Lollipops Educare Botany is ideally located within the Botany Town Centre. It is dedicated to providing the very best environment and learning opportunities for your child. Purpose-built, our state-of-the-art centre includes three separate areas designed to cater to the needs of children at varying ages; each is full of fun, stimulating resources and activities that inspire learning and confidence.

For children to be empowered, our educators provide opportunities for children to create and act on their ideas. We believe that in order for children to develop holistically, we must look at the child as a whole: "cognitively, socially, culturally, emotionally and spiritually," (Te Whaariki 1996). We believe that all children must be treated as individuals and respected for their uniqueness.

All Lollipops Educare, we believe that the inclusion of family and the community are an integral part of each child's positive development. We will work with parents in partnership acknowledging their role as their child's first teacher.

Three age-specific areas:

Babies from birth to 2 years
Supertots from 2 - 3 1/2 years
Rising 5’s from 3 1/2 – 5 years

Babies and toddlers under the age of 2 years love our large, colourful and inviting nursery with activities that encourage a multitude of developmental skills. A beautiful sleep room provides a calming, peaceful atmosphere where twinkling stars help to send tired little minds off to sleep.

Toddlers and older children enjoy a wonderful range of activities to meet the unique needs of each individual child. These activities are carefully planned and monitored to enhance all aspects of the child's development - social, emotional, physical and intellectual.

Hours

The centre operates between 7.30am and 6pm each week day. We are closed only on public and statutory holidays.

Getting to know each other

We have an open door policy and encourage parents/caregivers to spend time at the centre getting to know our educators and the routines that we incorporate into our programme. We believe it is important to understand and support your values and beliefs within a nurturing learning environment. For any new enquires it is advisable to make an appointment so that time can be spent with you showing you around our centre.

Outdoor Play

Each room opens out onto a wide, covered deck area and a large inviting playground. Play huts, sand-pits, brightly coloured play structures and climbing frames encourage curiosity, develop motor skills and encourage social play and self-confidence. Children of every age group and developmental stage love the choice of games and play options that take them on the most amazing adventures!

Nutritious Meals

Our on-site cook provides children with delicious morning and afternoon teas and lunches that are nutritionally balanced and varied. We are happy to cater for individual needs and those with allergy concerns.
