Browns Bay
Located at 41 Bute Road, Lollipops Educare Browns Bay provides a welcoming, caring home environment for children aged up to five years. With a commitment to conservation, children are presented with a range of activities and opportunities that nurture understanding and appreciation of our precious environment. An outdoor roof-top garden provides an exciting opportunity for children to enjoy the endless wonder of growing their own vegetables. Indoors, a puppet theatre and IT centre are just two of the popular activities that provide opportunity for children to play and learn. We also offer a Rising Fives program which enables pre-schoolers to start school feeling prepared and confident.
Separate areas for under-twos
Our centre has been designed to meet the specific needs of children’s various developmental stages. We provide separate under two’s sleep and play areas which allow growing children to be safely and slowly transitioned without feeling overwhelmed. Each area has a quiet sleep area and access to outdoor play
Outdoor play
Our outdoor play area includes a stimulating variety of play equipment, water and messy play and sandpits. Children of every age group and developmental stage can enjoy fun activities that unleash their imaginations and take them on a journey of discovery and adventure. Being located in the beautiful suburb of Brown’s Bay also provides opportunity for children to enjoy our wonderful community including trips to the beach, local library and park.
Nutritious meals
Our centre chef provides nutritionally balanced morning and afternoon teas and lunches that are always popular with the children. Fresh fruit and vegetables are provided with every meal.
Staff
Our centre is committed to employing the best possible educators for your children. We currently have five teachers who are either fully qualified or currently in training. Staff are supported with regular opportunities to attend professional development courses and in-house training.
Hours
The centre operates between 7.30am and 6pm each week day.
Getting to know each other
Lollipops Educare Browns Bay celebrates all cultures. We are guided by Te Whariki and have a strong commitment to Te Reo Maori. We believe that children’s learning is a partnership between parents and teachers and we encourage strong communication between families and the centre. We offer an open door policy and provide many opportunities for parents to view their children’s journey of learning and development within the centre.
