Located at level 2, 55 Sainsbury Road, St Luke’s Lollipops Educare is a beautiful brand new purpose built childcare centre, which opened October 2010. Our children are a unique part of a wonderful, family oriented environment. Our specially chosen staff are focused on nurturing and educating and have a genuine love of working with children.

Babies, Toddlers and Preschoolers Areas

Our modern centre has a simple yet effective layout that is divided into three age groups making transitioning very easy for the children. Sleep rooms are kept at a comfortable temperature with individual heating and cooling systems and beautiful tree and butterfly murals adorn the walls. Soft music is played during sleep times, giving a lovely relaxing atmosphere.

Hours

The centre operates between 7.30am and 6pm each week day. We are closed only on public and statutory holidays.

Getting to know each other

We have an open door policy and encourage parents/caregivers to spend time at the centre getting to know our educators and the routines that we incorporate into our programme, but for any new enquires it is advisable to make an appointment so that time can be spent with you showing you around our centre.

Communication between staff, children, and parents/caregivers is paramount in our eyes. We fully support feedback, information and interaction with all parents and caregivers alike.

Outdoor Play

Our outdoor play areas have been designed so that children of each age have safe, fun activities that activate their imaginations and inspire discovery and learning. Tiger Turf has been installed to provide extra safety and to help keep the ground cooler in summer. The under two age group is separate from the over two group and has its own shade covered sandpit.

Nutritious Meals

Our in-house cook provides children with a nutritious, balanced menu of morning and afternoon teas and lunches. Fresh fruit and vegetables are always in ready supply and meals are wholesome and home-cooked.

Staff

Our centre is committed to employing the best possible educators for your children. We currently employ a total of 4 full time, 1 part-time and 3 permanent relieving staff whose experience combines to over 50 years within the early childhood education sector. Staff are supported with ongoing training and regular opportunities to attend professional development courses and in-house training. As we grow in children’s role numbers we will recruit the best possible people for the role ensuring a quality team throughout.
