Centre PhilosophyTeaching Team PhilosophyLollipops Educare St Lukes aims to provide a child initiated programme in a stimulating environment to encourage each child’s physical, social, emotional, intellectual and spiritual development. As a professional teaching team, we believe that children learn in an environment that is respectful and inclusive of culture, gender and ability. We recognize that each child is individual and unique and encourage all children to be involved with a wide range of challenging and enriching activities. We acknowledge that children have the right to experience (by providing plenty of opportunities) the bicultural heritage of Atearoa/New Zealand and believe that our centre’s environment, resources and language used acknowledge the dual heritage of the ‘Treaty of Waitangi’ partners. At Lollipops Educare St Lukes children have the opportunity to:
We value the opportunities to work alongside children and make assessments for learning/teaching that positively contribute to evaluation, revision and development of our programme. We believe in promoting strong relationships and open communication with families/whanau to work together towards a shared journey of learning/teaching.
