Greenlane Childcare Centre

Located at Alexandra Park, Greenlane’s Lollipops Educare is warm, welcoming centre where children can learn, explore, and discover the amazing world around them. Children are encouraged to be curious, express themselves, to laugh and have fun!

For children to be empowered, our educators provide opportunities for children to create and act on their ideas. We believe that in order for children to develop holistically, we must look at the child as a whole: “cognitively, socially, culturally, emotionally and spiritually,” (Te Whaariki 1996). We believe that all children must be treated as individuals and respected for their uniqueness.
At Lollipops Educare, we believe that the inclusion of family and the community are an integral part of each child’s positive development. We will work with parents in partnership acknowledging their role as their child’s first teacher.

Infants Toddlers and Preschool Area's We are licensed for 100 children in total and divide our centre into small groups according to developmental progress. Separate areas for babies, toddlers and preschoolers have been designed to meet the specific needs of children’s various stages. Each room provides a wonderful selection of activities and resources that inspire learning and discovery.
Hours The centre operates between 7am and 6pm each week day except public holidays.
Getting to know each other We have an open door policy and encourage parents/caregivers to spend time at the centre getting to know our educators and the routines that we incorporate into our programme, but for any new enquires it is advisable to make an appointment so that time can be spent with you showing you around our centre. Your child’s learning and development milestones are documented in individual profile books which are regularly updated by our staff. These books are freely available for parents to view and share with their children and wider whanau/family. Nutritious Meals Morning and afternoon teas and lunches are nutritionally balanced and delicious. We provide plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables to ensure that each meal is meeting the needs of busy young children.
Outdoor Play Our outdoor areas are well resourced with a wide selection of equipment to encourage creativity, motor skills, social skills, and logical thinking. But most of all – they provide great fun for children of every age!
