Sandy Paul, Centre Owner, Greenlane and Royal Oak

sandy__diana_small.jpgAs a mother of four children, Greenlane Lollipops and Royal Oak Centre Owner Sandy Paul knows how parents feel when it’s time to select a childcare centre. With this in mind, Sandy always takes the time to address each of these concerns with parents to ensure they have the peace of mind in knowing that their child is safe and happy. With over 25 years in the early childhood education sector and a Diploma in Teaching, Sandy’s background is a source of valuable information and advice for the staff of the Greenlane centre. Sandy took ownership of the centre in 2003, prior to this she was a lab technician for MAF. However working with children and growing great relationships with their parents is something that Sandy finds very rewarding and she looks forward to continuing to develop the Greenlane centre to its full potential.

“I love the endless variety that working with children provides - no two days are ever the same! I feel very lucky to own such a vibrant centre with staff, parents, and children who feel like part of a big, happy family.”

Jacoba Matapo, Centre Manager, Greenlane

Jacoba april_small.jpgHelping teachers to improve their teaching practices and lifting the overall standard of education and care within the centre is a key role for Centre Manager Jacoba Matapo. Prior to her current role, Jacoba gained a Bachelor in Education and gained valuable experience working as a relieving teacher within numerous early childhood centres. As a mother of two young children, Jacoba has a good understanding of the needs of young children and the concerns that parents face when choosing a childcare centre. She believes that it is important to work in partnership with families to ensure that each child enjoys a positive experience within the centre. Jacoba’s goals for the immediate future include completing her Masters of Educational Leadership before continuing her professional development with a Doctorate in Education.

“I get a great deal of satisfaction from providing opportunities for our staff to extend and develop their own teaching practices. I believe that we have a very high standard of staff professionalism and knowledge within the centre and that is something the children and their parent benefit from on a daily basis.”
