Get in touchOur Story
Here at Lollipops Educare Millennium our image of a child is that each is a unique individual with their own strengths, abilities and passions. We view each as confident, competent and capable learners who we will support in building relationships with their peers and the teachers, as well as their passion for learning, exploring and discovering.
The teachers act as facilitators to create lifelong learners. We believe in creating strong whanau relationships. Our ongoing respect and commitment to the Tiriti O Waitangi is part of our strong support of a bicultural approach to learning. We celebrate the cultural diversity in our community and value the connections we build with each of our children.
We also have a playball session for the children each week. The parents decide if they want their children to be enrolled in this program.
Our closest marae is located in One Tree Hill.
The centre has a lot of local schools in the vicinity. However, since most of our parents are from the local businesses the children go to the schools of their local address.
ERO Report
The Education Review Office (ERO) is the New Zealand government department that evaluates and reports on the education and care of students in schools and early childhood services. ERO’s reports are used by parents, teachers, early childhood education managers, school principals and trustees, and by government policy makers.
Early childhood services are reviewed on average once every three years. Reviews will be more frequent where the performance of a school or centre is poor and there are risks to the education and safety of the students, or less frequent where a school has a stable reporting history and demonstrates good self-review processes and use of its assessment information.
You can read our centre’s ERO review here.Centre Information
