Celebrating Diwali at Lollipops Newton
Last week we celebrated Diwali!
Diwali is the Indian festival of lights and is one of the most popular Indian festivals. Families light lamps, candles, and fireworks to symbolize the triumph of light over darkness, wisdom over ignorance, and good over evil.
We had so much fun participating in so many different activities and had a dress-up day with bright colours and beautiful traditional Indian clothing. We ate so much and had a wonderful time!
