I’ve lived in Waiuku all my life, am married with three adult daughters and four grandchildren. When I’m not at work I love spending time with family and friends, especially my grandkids!
What inspired you to pursue a career in ECE?
My enjoyment of working with children – I especially love meeting and building relationships with the children and their families. I’ve been in the sector for 15 years now and have been at Lollipops Waiuku since 2008.
What makes Lollipops Waiuku special?
There are many things, but to name a few…our low staff turnover, wonderful family environment, and three age appropriate outdoor environments.
What’s your favourite time of the year at the centre?
There are lots of community events we celebrate throughout the year and I enjoy them all! It is great when staff, children and families all get together as a team and learn about different cultures.
