Our Rooms

Lollipops Petone has four purposely designed learning environments that have hand-picked teaching teams to ensure children receive the best possible care and education. Infants are nurtured in their own environment to ensure optimum care.  We provide designated sleep rooms for all ages which ensure all children have access to peaceful and respectful places to rest and nap. 

* Ages outlined below are just a general guide. The needs of the individual and family are also taken into consideration along with availability.

Kiwi Infants

0 to 18 months

Daily Routine

7:30 am: Centre opens/child led free play inside

8:00 am:  Outdoor environment opens/free play inside and outside

8:15 am: Nappy changing

9:00 am: Rolling morning tea starts

10:00 am: Nappy changing

11:00 am: Rolling lunch time starts

12:00 pm:  Bottles/nappy check/sleep time

1:00 pm: Free play/child led learning both inside and outside

2:00 pm:  Rolling afternoon tea starts

3:00 pm: Nappy changing

3:30 pm: Free play child led learning inside and outside

5:30 pm: Centre closes

4 to 5 years

Daily Routine

7:30 am: Centre opens/child led free play

7:45 am:  Outdoor environment opens/free play inside and outside

9:00 am: Sessional children arrive/rolling morning tea starts

9:20 am: Kotahitanga – optional morning mat time

9:30 am: Rolling morning tea starts/child led play and learning

12:00 pm: Rolling lunch followed by sleep for those still sleeping

2:00 pm: Rolling afternoon tea starts

2:30 pm: All children are up for the day

3:30 pm: Sessional children leave/free child led play and learning inside and outside

5:30 pm: Centre closes
