Halloween Fun at Lollipops Britomart

Ghosts and ghouls, fairies and pumpkins, and yes, even tigers turned up to celebrate Halloween at Lollipops Britomart yesterday.

Excitement was high as the centre's annual Halloween bash got into full swing. Children came dressed in their favourite costumes and much fun was had trick-or-treating in the local community.

An undisputed highlight on any child's calendar, the tradition of Halloween actually originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires to wear costumes to ward off ghosts. But times have changed. Now this exciting event is more about dressing up, trick-or-treating, and eating treats - a true festive occassion for any child!
