Our Rooms

Lollipops Waikato Hospital has two separate rooms, enabling us to deliver safe, nurturing and age appropriate learning experiences for all our children.  Each of our rooms have their own indoor space with a shared outdoor area.  There is a spacious covered deck, which allows children to play outside even on very wet days.

Kowhaiwhai Room

This warm and welcoming space is our baby and toddler room for our under 2s.
Kowhaiwhai is the beautiful scroll like pattern seen on Māori meeting house ridge poles and rafters.  Nowadays, it is incorporated into Māori carvings and art to represent the importance and significance of a loving family.

Koru Room

Our vibrant preschool room caters for children aged  2 to 6 years. Often used in Māori art as a symbol of creation, based on the unfurling circular shape, a koru conveys the idea of perpetual movement, while the inward coil suggests a return to the point of origin.  It symbolises the way in which life both changes and stays the same.
